Jalanethra Survey App is an app developed for the Hydrographic Survey Wing of the Government of Kerala. The Hydrographic Survey investigations consist of triangulation, coast lining on the adjoining hinterland of the water mass, bathymetric observation, current observation of water at various depths, collection of water samples from various depths for various analyses, collection of sea bottom samples, determination of direction and velocity of water flow, etc.

The client required an Android mobile app developed for the use of HSW marine surveyors by the Government of Kerala for internal communications and for managing the internal operational processes.
Key Features
- The marine surveyors log into the app using their given credentials.
- The Dashboard has all the information needed by the surveyors on the survey and field study as assignment requests, assignments accepted, and accepted reassignments.
- Clicking on each feature will take you to another screen with more details. For example, clicking on accepted reassignments will give you information such as file number, customer name, service name, date, and any additional remarks.
- The marine surveyors can accept or reject the field study and surveys as well as reschedule them for a later date at their convenience.
- A report section is also available with data such as the date and time of the inspection, name of the department, location, type of water body, the method to be adopted, and remarks. They can also upload photos of the survey area.
- If any information needs to be changed, the marine surveyors can edit the report as well.
- The marine surveyors also get real-time notifications to keep track of their field studies and surveys.
